Introduction

IbtikarKhana (IK) brings its more than 30 years of expertise in the field of social development to offer highly interactive workshops to pre-early, early, mid-stage and advanced social entrepreneurs.
Designed by IK’s experts, our workshops are highly interactive, and the participants work individually and/or in groups on real case studies to apply practically what they have learnt theoretically.
Our workshops are mostly delivered over three full days (6 hours each day) to give the participants the time they need to actively work on real case studies. However, they can also be tailored to any number of days as per the request of the partners and the trainees. IbtikarKhana’s trainers are renowned experts in their fields and their expertise includes everything from business plans, marketing strategies, sector mappings, needs assessments, financial management strategies, problem analysis and more.

Writing Winning Proposals:

An introduction to An Introduction to Proposal Writing and Fundraising Workshop Upon the successful completion of the workshop, the participants will be able to:
1- Build and enhance your skills on how to turn your idea into a meaningful and comprehensive initiative that will get a buy-in from the donors.
2- Learn how to structure a proposal and understand what are the main elements that your proposal should cover.
3- Understand how to design your project and proposal with clear and structured goals, objectives, and problem statement and implementation plan.
4- Learn how to look for donors and funding opportunities.
5- Learn how to build and maintain relationship with your donors.
6- Get familiar with the main reasons behind accepting and rejecting a proposal.

Project Management Basics for Social Entrepreneurs Workshop

Upon the successful completion of the workshop, the participants will be able to:
1- Get familiar with the goals of project management and its elements.
2- Develop their projects’ logical framework.
3- Know the techniques and know-hows of planning.
4- Draft their implementation plan and basic monitoring and evaluation plan.

Problem Solving Workshop

Upon the successful completion of the workshop, the participants will be able to:
1. Redefine the problem/gap they are addressing.
2. Conduct desk and field reviews to prove the existence of the problem/gap
3. Study the alternative existing solutions to the problem they are tackling.
4. Identify their unique value proposition (UVP)
5. Develop their knowledge on how to come up with their key performance indicators.

Introduction to Market Research and Community Mapping Workshop

Upon the successful completion of the workshop, the participants will be able to:
1. Familiarized with the tools and the knowledge to study and understand their markets.
2. Learn how to study their beneficiaries/ clients and their competitors.
3. Learn how to study their community, surrounding environment and stakeholders.
